1st Forest Town Beaver "Colony" which is the collective name for Beaver Scouts invite boys and girls to join them from the age of 5yrs 9months. 1st Forest Town Beavers are very popular so early application is recommended as a waiting list is often used. Please contact the Beaver Scout Leader for further details.

WHEN DO WE MEET ?

 

Holly Primary School

Thursday during school term time 5:00 to 6:00pm

 

Forest Town School

Wednesday during school term time 6:00 to 7:00pm

The beaver scout leader is assisted by warranted leaders, regular assistants and parent helpers during the regular meetings and on days out. All adults in scouting are CRB (Crime Records Bureau) checked prior to any placement working within the group. Also, each Adult will follow a set of rules and guidelines which have been issued by the Scouting Association. Please contact any leader for further information on this.

We currently have over 30 Beavers split between two Colonies and is always growing. The Beavers are divided into six lodges.

Cedar
Holly
Elm
Ash
Pine

Each lodge has its own leader which helps them prepare for cubs and also enables smaller groups to be managed at the weekly meetings and on trips out.
Forest Town Beaver Leader and assistants are all named after Robin Hood characters including Will Scarlet, Robin Hood, Little John, Maid Marion, Friar Tuck and Alan a Dale.
